We respect and appreciate that people are different in the way they function and relate; so, we adopt an approach that gives us flexibility to apply tailor made services to every of our client. We are able to provide a care solution that allows for adjustments, as our client need or condition changes. It doesn’t matter if we are providing in-home care in the comfort of your home, or providing residential care in one of our facilities, we do it straight from the heart.

OUR CAREGIVERS
Our caregivers are carefully selected to match the personality of the person they will be serving. We choose people for their enthusiasm, friendliness, warmth and empathy as well as their range of interests in addition to their professional background. This is what helps to build a relationship with the Person-Served and their family.
All our Caregivers undergo extensive background checks and are given high-quality training to give them the confidence, knowledge and skills to serve our clients. Before hiring, we always ask ourselves: would I trust the caregiver to look after my son, daughter, brother, sister, father, mother? If we can’t get an emphatic yes in our conscience, then the candidate does not qualify to join the DRCS team.
Our care services are relationship-based. Matching a caregiver to you ensures that you’ll see the same person every time. Your caregiver will get to know you as you’ll get to know them. This proximity allows them to spot anything unusual and help prevent illnesses or accidents more easily.

In-Home Care
At DRCS, we provide homecare for the elderly in their own homes. Whether you or a family member needs a little extra help around the house, we are here to support you.
Our home help for elderly people ranges from assistance at either end of the day, to 24-hour support. We make care as easy as possible- all from the comfort of your own home. Our homecare services can support with those everyday tasks that may have become difficult to manage.
We recognize that daily activities may not be easy to complete as they once were, but that should be the least of your worries as our friendly team of caregivers can help with dressing, bathing, cooking, medication reminder and administration, doctor’s appointment, companionship and a whole lot more.
Disability Care
We know that life is sometimes overwhelming for people living with disabilities and developmental challenges this can make you feel very anxious and you might behave in a way that you normally wouldn’t, this could be hitting out, or shouting, or screaming. We will support you when you without being judgmental when you feel this way. We will help you to find ways of coping with stressful situations so that you feel more in control. At DRCS , we are highly experienced in supporting people who display these behaviors. We have lots of expertise in understanding why people might behave in a way that causes concern, and we only ever work in positive, non-judgmental ways to help you. We carry out functional assessments, which is a way of us working on evidence to help us understand what is happening for you. We then tailor our support plans, focusing on communication, consistency, support and reward.

Senior/ Elderly Care

In-Home Respite Care
We provide short term relief to primary caregivers in homes, hospitals, assisted leaving and long-term facilities. If you are the primary caregiver for your loved one and you need a break , we got you. Although caregiving is a rewarding experience, it can sometimes be very emotional and physically exhausting, leaving the person primarily responsible really overwhelmed and needing some time alone.
This is where our DRCS team come in to make sure you are able to take a break knowing that your loved one is in safe hands till you are able to come back to caring for them.
Out of Home Respite Care (Family)
This is a service that provide parents and family members who have children with developmental challenges, short term relief outside their own family home. DRCS have arrangement where you are marched with one of our respite families in their own family homes for the weekend or for a specified period of time. This can also be on an ongoing basis. You are entitled to your own bedroom and bathroom. The host would be responsible for feeding, transportation, medication administration, sensory drives and walks and recreational activities during the period.
These respite families are registered with DRCS after extensive screening which starts from interested families submitting an application, participating in an interview, undergoing police record/vulnerable sector check for themselves and anybody in their household 12 years or older, immunization record check for themselves and anyone 12 years or older.
Out of Home Respite Care
Unlike the Out of Home Respite Care(family) which is serviced by families registered with DRCS, the Out of Home Respite(DRCS FACILITY) is serviced by DRCS employees who have been thoroughly trained in the act of respite care.
They also undergo rigorous background check, medical/immunization record and operate bearing in mind the policies and procedures of DRCS as it relates to caring for individuals with physical, and developmental challenges. As a client, you are admitted into one of our facilities which are all licensed , clean and safe.
