Supported Living

Supported living setting is usually based out of the group home. It involves person served , 18 years and above who would live independently or semi independently outside the group home , outside their family homes- who still need a little bit of supervision/help with some aspect of daily living. In this setting, the Person Served becomes a room mate to an individual or family registered with DRCS for the sole purpose of being supportive roommates to Person-Served who must have been matched and approved to be good fits for our Person-Served. The selection process for these supportive room mates usually starts with an application, interview

These prospective supportive roommates , are registered with DRCS after extensive screening which starts from interested candidate submitting an application, participating in an interview, undergoing police record/vulnerable sector check for themselves and anybody in their household 12 years or older, immunization record check for themselves and anyone 12 years or older.
